  1. Is it that 'South Africa' is 'making its own phones' the or that Mara has just opened a plant in South Africa? 🤔, Korea and America don't necessarily 'make' their own phones since Samsung and apple are private companies, it's just that they're Korean and American companies respectively, if they opened plants in South Africa would the title be the same?

  2. I love the initiative being taken here… I think if Africans can stop importing phones and cars and start developing consuming regional products I believe in the next 20 years we will be on a better level of competition in the global market

  3. It does make it South African, the guy Rwandan but the phone is manufactured in South Africa. Elon musk is South African but Tesla is manufactured in America, does it now mean Tesla is a south African candle just coz Elon musk is South African? Exactly!!!

  4. THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED JUST A FOOT THROUGH THE DOOR. THE INDIAN MAY OWN IT FOR NOW, BUT YOUNG AFRICANS CAN SNOWBALL THE INNOVATION. GET IN AND LEARN EVERYTHING THERE IS ABOUT THE WHOLE PRODUCTION AND THEN GO AND CREATE YOUR OWN SMARTPHONES. USE THIS AS A STEPPING STONE TOWARDS BIGGER THINGS.
