Electricity is all around us, all the time. It makes our lives easier, safer, more fun and most of us never think about it. But is there such a thing as too much electricity? Electronic devices emit an electromagnetic field, which is suspected to cause cancer. We read countless sources on this topic to summarize the results of the latest research for you.

  1. This was a great opportunity to consult someone who actually knows something about science and talk about the limitations of scientific research and the difference between 'strong evidence that this is safe' and 'no strong evidence that this is unsafe'. Instead we got this cop out. I mean – all the science is fine and the conclusions are reasonable, but the dumbing down of science in this video is a genuine sin.

  2. Parents: your phone is harmful to you! It causes cancer and you can die prematurely! Go outside and play more!
Kurzgesagt: *NOPE*, in fact, outdoor air pollution is linked to millions of deaths each year and electromagnetic radiation has no link to anything
    Me: TAKE THAT it’s SCIENCE

  3. "microwave radiation,… this radiation doesn't disrupt molecules in our body". Quite a dangerous and unscientific thing to say since microwave radiation most certainly disrupts your molecules. I suggest you try it…
Once again no thanks to Kurzgesagt for seemingly bringing an unbiased discussion where the excuses for the mainstream opinion are given from the get go, once again confirming they are just excusing the general opinion wanted from the public instead of doing what they claim to do… Oh, right they did a lot of reading, really? Retards.

  4. This is a totally brilliant video that I was going to share with my paranoid parents until I saw the sponsored message at the end. By not immediately declaring it as sponsored content, you've ruined the trust you'd built up to that point. There's native advertising and then there's plain sneaky. I'd much prefer you to finish the video and then declare your sponsored content, then run the video. Sadly ironic, given your entire philosophy about illuminating the truth.

  5. That advertisement at the end ruined it a bit for me. Online privacy is not the same as cancer from radiation. Nice try.

    Everything else was great.

  6. We need a full video correcting the misunderstand about the microwaves (Microwave Ovens) harmful to health.
Only Kurzgesagt can do it. <3
