  1. Wode, there is a disease among Sierra Leoneans that needs to be cured, starting with people in the diaspora ,we support foreigners more than our brothers and sisters. You have some that are willing the support will not be there. Please African brother and sisters pray for Sierra Leoneans for unity and respect among each other

May God almighty bless and strengthen you and your team.

  2. Guy, preach about free speech, association and movement wherever you go in Africa. First; African leaders never allowed free speech to prevail. Hence, the continent keeps loosing brilliant minds to the western world. Without these, you are only touring Africa for enjoyment, entertainment and money 💰 making. Africa will not change. Western world encourages these aforementioned points.

  3. I agree with you MAYA THESE Lebanese Indians or Chinese you allow to run business every where, Can you as an Afrikan do Business in their countries
    Freely? This is my question.

  4. The day that Africa entirely will recognised it has being sold for the Chinese, libanés,and some other foreigners we will be accusing God almighty for creating black people or Africans.

  5. We africans need to learn that when 1 african bleed, we all bleed.
So much Ebola that Chinese, arabs, indians and european are running to Sierra leon to catch it. Although common sence is not common, we need to run home before home belongs to others who do not respect us. I won't sign to voluntary slavery. That's what our dormant state is. Africans are awaken Maya. The way of fear and cowardice needs to stop. Like it or not at this point, we fight or we die.

  6. It’s the first time I have ever heard you speak with so much passion and the truth now you doing good video Your video quality before I was going down but now I think your find a path

  7. As a Sierra Leonean I totally agree with you Wode Maya. As we say in fullani, jarama boui, which means thanks a lot. You are very brave for having the courage to speak about this.

  8. Really man all investments in Sierra Leone owns by foreigners I don't know why, thank you for the good message for our Brothers and sisters don't want to come back home

  9. Hey! I'm a Sierra Leonean living in exile and I actually went back to invest and had to forfeit in loses in around 30k. Generally speaking, let's just say there is a negative and a positive side of business' outcome, and unfortunately for me I ended up having to endure the negative side of things. I also know quite few of us who have went back to take on this venture just to lose in the end. My friend, I know your heart's in the right place but we as sierra Leoneans have way bigger problems than merely opening mini supermarkets and resorts close to our beaches. We have an education and cultural problem, just like many, if not all black nations. An immaterial process within us has to happen before any real progress is achieved. Until then nothing is going to change. We will continue to circle around bragging about how beautiful our lands are and how much resources we supposedly have.

  10. Maya, do the natives in Siera Leone speak English? My guess is they speak French. Also would they accommodate another African person from another country to move there and become citizen?

  11. Wode you are saying the truth.Every hotel or supermarket in Sierra Leone is owned by Lebanese or Indian.
And our Citizens are being enslaved by Indians or Lebanese and when officials from the the ministry come to oversea if they are being treated fairly they end up giving them brown envelopes.

  12. I am from Ghana. i went to school in Sierra Leone and graduated from Fourah Bay College in 1988. I established a bakery after graduating in Tonto Field because there was no good bread to feed the diamond miners. I had 18 workers in the bakery and over 50 young people selling the bread. I have been in Canada for over twenty years, empowering the youth here to make positive life choices ( www. benosei.com ). I have been in contact with some leaders in Sierra Leone about how I can come back and help the youth but no one seems to care.

  13. There is a large community of descendants from Sierra Leone living in Charleston SC all the up the coast to Beaufort, SC, called the Gullah Community. They know who they are. They celebrate their heritage every year in the month of May. But, this large group of people where just acknowledged Sovereign. I doubt they uproot themselves, unless forced. However, African must know that many of us WILL RETURN!!! God is putting everything back the way it was; we just have to be patient and believe. Africa should also note that we are watching!!! Politics are playing hard in the background of Africa, so the Diaspora must use wisdom.

  14. Go to New York, same thing regards business owners barely employing black people and sitting on their "high chair" playing security guard and banker and probably paying staff less than minimum wage. Why are the indigenous people not the owners of their own supported by their own? That's not even a fair question I just asked because people in the diaspora are eating up to facts reported by people like yourself Maya. There is a change in the atmosphere.

  15. You are so right, I really hope our brothers and sisters come back before the foreigners take over the whole continent. We need voices like yours, I can feel your frustration, Africa needs all its children to come and invest otherwise foreigners will supplant us

  16. Are there any Sierra Leonians that can comment on this one? I'm curious too, everybody I met of indigenous descent came to the states for the dollar and they sent money back home

  17. yep, i agree with you Maya, even the Chinese owns most of the businesses. i was born and raised here in the states but my heart has always been is in africa. right now im investing in the transportation sector and presently building a primary school in my parents village in the yoni chiefdom of sierra leone. I was inspired by dr harnet with investing in africa. we can't depend on the government to develop the whole of the country, like you said we need to come as one and build up sierra leone.

  18. That is a very wrong for you not to do videos, talking Is one thing , however, seeing a video where people can actually see with their own eyes is way more powerful than what you said !

Go make videos so people can see those places and who owns them , let the people see so it can soak into their brains of what's going on over there , let people see the images of Lebanese, chinese , and others who own businesses in that country ! It seem as if you feel embarrassed to show other people who own businesses in that country vs the INDEGUINOUS people, what is there to be embarrassed about ??

The reason I made that statement is because the more of those videos you show of that country, and the more videos you show of Lebanese, indians , chinese living in and owning most of the businesses in that specific country, it is because it will send a very thunderous and powerful message to people who are not Africans, and to people who are Africans, why ?? Because it will seal the deal on the negative views of Africa by contradicting those views , are you beginning to see my point?? Or are you still feeling like crying and being scared to show non africans owning businesses??

Ok, so non Africans go to Africa and exploit the locals, they take pics of tribes and post it in negative ways , they say Africa is not developed , they say Africa is poor , some say Africa is not beautiful, so why dont stop crying and take yourself and shoot some videos regardless of wether it's an india or lebanese who own a hotel or restaurant, make that video scarstic video about how people talk bad about Africa yet they are running to Africa to live , they are running to Africa to own land , they are running to Africa to get a head start by opening grocery stores, hotels , bars etc etc., so when you post those videos, it will actually back up your Africa to the world videos in which you showcase nice places in Africa , along with businesses owned by Africans ! Film the dag videos and start looking at things from different perspectives! Is it so hard to comprehend what is said??

PEOPLE WHO TALK CRAP ABOUT AFRICA , OR TELL AFRICANS TO GO BACK TO AFRICA, THE SIERRA LEONE VIDEOS WITH FOREIGN OWNERS WILL TOTALLY SMASH AND DEBUNK ALL THOSE ARROGANT AND IGNORANT FOOLS WHO SAYS TO AFRICANS THAT THEY NEED TO GO BACK TO AFRICA , THE VIDEOS WILL SHOW THE STORES AND THE PEOPLE WHO OWN THEM ( ALL FOREIGNERS) THAT ALONE WILL TELL THE STORY OF HOW FOOLISH SOME PEOPLE REALLY ARE , THE VIDEO WILL CLEARLY SHOW THAT THEY ( FOREIGNERS ) ARE TELLING AFRICAN DIASPORA AND AFRICANS ONE THING, BUT THEY THEMSELVES ARE DOING SO TO DETER AFRICAN DIASPORA FROM TRAVELING TO AFRICA AND OPENING UP BUSINESSES, SO THAT THEY FOREIGNERS WOULD NOT HAVE ANY COMPETITION!

LET THE WORLD SEE THAT PEOPLE CAN CALL AFRICAN NATIONS SH%%% H%$$ NATIONS , BUT THOSE SAME PEOPLE ARE PACKING THOSE AIRPORTS ENROUTE TO AFRICA ,LOL .

IAM SURE THAT MANY PARTS OF INDIA ARE ALSO BEAUTIFUL, SAME WITH CHINA , SAME WITH OTHER WESTERN NATIONS , YET YOU MADE IT CLEAR THAT YOU KEPT SEEING MAINLY FOREIGNERS IN SIERRA LEONE AS THE OWNERS OF MOST BUSINESSES, SO WHAT ?? THAT WILL HELP YOUR AFRICA TO THE WORLD , ( MEANING OTHER GROUPS ARE SEEING YOUR VIDOES AND TAKING ADVANTAGE OF IT, MEANING THAT THEY HAVE LONG KNOWN THE TRUTH VS AFRICAN DIASPORA WHO WERE STILL BEING AND ALLOWING THEMSELVES TO BE BRAIN WASHED ABOUT NEGATIVE IMAGES OF AFRICA, SO WHEN THEY SEE THAT THERE ARE MANY MANY NON AFRICANS IN AFRICA , CONTRARY FALSE STORIES ABOUT EBOLA AND AIDS, WATER ISSUES , YET THOSE SAID FOREIGNERS ARE GLADLY RUSHING TO AFRICA .

MAKE THOSE VIDEOS AND STOP WITH THAT SHORT SIGHTED EXCUSE AS TO WHY YOU HAVE MADE ANY VIDEOS SIMLY BASED ON FOREIGN OWNED PROPERTIES, FILM THE VIDOES SO DIASPORA CAN SEE FOR THEMSELVES IMAGES OF A CHINESE PERSON OR LABANESE MAN OR WOMAN OPENING UP THEIR STORES , LET THE DIASPORA AND ALL OTHERS SEE THAT EVEN FOREIGNERS ARE LIVING IN SIERRA LEONE DISPITE THE CLAIM OF EBOLA , AIDS , AND OTHER NONSENSE.

THERE WERE NEVER SUCH A THING CALLED EBOLA OR AIDS IN AFRICA , THEY WEREN'T DYING DUE TO THOSE THINGS , THOSE THINGS WERE BROUGHT TO AFRICA .

THEY USE AFRICAN KIDS AND PEOPLE AS TEST SUBJECTS BY FALSELY INJECTING PEOPLE WITH THOSE MADE UP DISEASES.

  19. Stop blaming foreigner for ur failure if u don't want to work leave them work its may help the country nobody is stoping someone to succeed and who's idiot saying fullahs are foreigner u stupid u better go and study social studies.

  20. Powerful message Maya. Hurt but u speaking the truth. I'm a Sierra Leonean and yes it takes ourselves to develop our own countries. I'm so going take this message into consideration. God bless u.🙏 God bless one African. 🙏 I feel ur pain.

  21. Amen, Maya… that's why I ask questions like WHO owns these realtor and business? Thanks for educating diaspora's about the facts that a African invented a cure for EBOLA. Western are not telling the truth. Fear of the unknown. Peace!

  22. spot on, I noticed that too when I visited Freetown the last time., These Lebanese bosses will literally standing on top of the local cashier ladies as if they are about to run away with the money. it is humiliating to say the least. Great advice Wode.
