An international research collaboration, which includes the University of Bristol, has received funding to discover and accelerate the development of new antibiotics.
The three-year, £1.9m project, funded by the Newton Fund through the UK Medical Research Council, which is part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), and the South African Medical Research Council, aims to discover novel compounds from natural sources that have the potential to be developed into new antimicrobial drugs.
