  1. Jesus was in effect saying "Do this, as you do that"….."Love your neighbour as you Love Yourself" (Mark 12:31).

Was Jesus saying that Self love should be prioritise, or put first place🥇 BEFORE Love for others🤰? Should a mother make sure she Loves herself first, before loving her child 🤷🏽‍♂️? Or are we saying that a mother is unable to Love her child until she Love herself first? 🤷🏽‍♂️

I am saying if a mother can not Love her child first, then she can not Love herself also, because her child is an extension of herself.

If we were perfect we would not have this problem, to love ourself first BEFORE Loving others. There should be no distinction between Love for ourself and Love for others because we are all memebers to the same body (Rom 12:5)

I understand that Love yourself can be like recharging your battery to love others, but should we always make sure our battery is full FIRST before pouring out Love to someone esle?

Does a mother make sure she eaten FIRST, before giving food to her children? 🤷🏽‍♂️ There is a time and place to put others first, and there is a time and place to yourself first but ultimately no should have first place but God.

We should be willing to lay down our lives for each other and brothers and sisters in the faith, like Jesus did for us, and there should be no "Love Yourself First" business in this matter (John 13:34)

So True Christianity does not teach you "it's impossible to Love others until you Love yourself first" (I hear this statement all the time) neither does it teach "Love for others First before yourself". But you should be doing those simultaneously, as you Love others you are also love yourself at the same time. Not one before the other.

Others are not more important then you are, and neither are You more important then others. An embryo in God's eyes is just as valuable and precious as a full grown adult.

I would never preach and say "It's impossible to love others until you Love yourself First" this a problem we have as imperfect human beings

I would say it's natural as imperfect human beings to priorities ourselves other others, but that does not make it right to do so.

And if we have the Love of God in us, both Love for ourself and for others can be achieved perfectly like Jesus, who took time for himself but made time for others perfectly at the proper time.

  2. This is such an important message! Like in our culture we just go go go, and don't really take time to take care and love ourselves. But even God took a day of rest! Also we were cracking up when your phone rang, don't remember the last time we heard a house phone 😂
