About Alonzo Bodden:

Alonzo, who won Season 3 of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing,” is a regular on NPR’s “Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me!” and “Comedy Congress.” He’s also a recurring commentator / panelist on “The Young Turks.” His multiple stand-up comedy specials include “Heavy Lightweight” (2019, Amazon Prime), “Historically Incorrect” (2016, Showtime), and “Who’s Paying Attention” (2011, Showtime). In 2019, Alonzo also appeared on Comedy Central’s stand-up and music series, “The New Negroes” (S1, E5: Self Care).

In between stand-up and acting, the veteran comic hosts a weekly podcast on All Things Comedy titled “Who’s Paying Attention?” where fans can hear his irreverent, humorous, and no-holds barred observations on everything from the presidential race and the current political climate to sports and pop culture. Alonzo has made the late show rounds, including appearances on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “Late with Conan O’Brien,” “The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn” and “The D.L. Hughley Show.” He annually performs at Just For Laughs comedy festival in Montreal – where he has participated in multiple tv specials, including “Howie Mandel’s All-Star Comedy Gala” (2017, 2020) and “Trevor Noah at JFL” (2019). Alonzo is a regular feature at LA’s popular comedy club and also frequents popular comedy podcasts, including The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE).

An avid car and motorcycle enthusiast, Alonzo has hosted Speed Channel’s “101 Cars You Must Drive” and Travel Channel’s “America’s Worst Driver.” He’s also appeared on multiple episodes of “Jay Leno’s Garage.”

His TV and film credits include “Fresh Off the Boat,” “Californication,” “Scary Movie 4,” “The Girl Next Door” and “Bringing Down the House,” starring Steve Martin and Queen Latifah.

Alonzo has traveled around the world entertaining USO troops from Iraq to Greenland.

  1. Black Lives Matter is a domestic terrorist group that burned looted and murdered for over 200 days without prosecution and support from Democrats as well as defunding the police shame on you

  2. Iam so happy for him his the man. I have followed his career since he was young. May the Buddhist gods continue to guide and protect him.

  3. He’s funny for sure, but BLM has an agenda… they were in my city, and did NOTHING but destroy the downtown area.
    Not one penny went to helping ANYONE, and our mayor and city council allowed them to come here and destroy.
    What good did that do?
    Not one penny of the hundreds of millions of dollars raised went to helping ANYONE, much less the one supposedly ‘killed’ by police.

    Besides, whites are killed way more by police than any other race in America – armed and unarmed.
    This is a cultural issue, nothing else.
