Calls for Ohio Senator to resign grow after he calls African Americans 'colored', questions their hand-washing habits

COLUMBUS, Ohio — There are calls for an Ohio State Senator to step down, after comments that have been roundly called “racist.”

Senator Stephen Huffman used the word “colored” to describe the African American community.

He then asked whether they possibly don’t wash their hands as well as other groups.
