Candlelight vigil in Imperial Beach commemorates victims of police brutality

Demands for racial equality and police reform continued Friday during a candlelight vigil at Veterans Park in Imperial Beach.

More than 50 people, some bearing shirts and signs that said “I can’t breathe,” “no justice, no peace,” “together we stand” and other messages in support of the Black Lives Matter Movement, lit candles and for an hour an half alternated between extended periods of silence and speeches honoring victims of police brutality.
