AUSTIN, TX — A person was in custody after a vehicle drove through a crowd of demonstrators protesting police custody in downtown Austin on Friday evening, according to reports.
There were no reports of injuries as a result of the event that occurred in front of the Austin Police Department headquarters on East 8th Street, KVUE reported. According to the news station, police then employed pepper spray to disperse protesters, some of whom were detained for unknown reasons.
