  1. Excellent summary of the sad, unfortunate history of the domination and oppression of Africans by the France, England, Germany, Belgium, Portugal, Spain, Italy and Belgium. You could do a separate video about King Leopold II, a singulary brutal, evil man who American Civil War veteran, Baptist minister and politician George Washington Williams first used the prhase "crimes against humanity" to describe the atocities and horrors comitted during his "ownership" of Congo Free State.

  2. Did European colonialism modernize the world?

Notice I'm asking did it modernize not civilize the world? People can be civilized without being modernized.

I ask this question because much of the technological and other advancements seem to have come from Europeans. Things like electricity, automobiles, exp ansion of literacy and European style architecture became more widespread because of European colonialism.

Ask yourself these questions. If Europeans had never colonized Africa and parts of Asia how modernized would those two continents be today?

If Europeans had never conquered and colonized the Americas how modernized would the Americas be today?

I know colonialism was generally bad towards the people who were colonized. Yet at the sametime modern advancements did seem to come with this colonization.

  3. When the missionaries came to Africa they had the Bible and we had the land. They said "Let us pray." We closed our eyes. When we opened them we had the Bible and they had the land.

    Desmond Tutu

  4. America is label racist but no mention that they were there doing what they could to help Africa gain independence nobody ever do more for Africa than the United States

  5. It was the Spanish & Portuguese that created the racial classes/terms "Blanco-White and Negro-Black" to mentally and emotionally disassociate themselves from Africans so they could be able to enslave fellow human beings. Also the word N**** comes from the Latin word "Niger" which means Black.
