Thanks for sharing Hans. W.E.B. One of the The GREAT human beings of his times, who happens to be an AFRO_AMERICAN. He was brilliant and courageous who wanted no delay in instituting a just and humane society for all human beings. The knowledge he acquired , he used it to teach the oppressed to be courageous and march against the injusticesses of the oppressor and he also taught the oppressors of the day, to imbibe , to learn some humanity and be humane.(those who labelled other humans as 3/5 th of humans, he taught them to become human themselves and recognise the full humanity in other humans. It was the lack of humanity in those who classified humans as subhumans. So W.E. B. instilled humanity in those oppressors who were lacking it) He was a brilliant strategist and a great teacher not from the pulpit but on to the streets of AMERICA.
Nice.
Hi Hans. This is good to see here. I just recently led a small workshop for grad students about the Harlem Renaissance and its underpinnings, and we read passages from this. Wish I'd seen your video beforehand, but I'm glad to find it now. Great work as always.
So good. Thanks, Hans.
@escritora08 to be double-consciousness is to be african-americans……
