Two Community Service Officers check out their gear before heading out on the streets of Eugene.

Eugene officials want public input as they finalize funding priorities for money generated by the Community Safety Payroll Tax. 

The payroll tax, which took effect Jan. 1, is intended to pay for new police officers, emergency services, court functions, homelessness reduction efforts and other local services.

The city posted an anonymous online survey to draw feedback in addition to webinars from last year as well as both previous and coming focus groups. The survey, available at
