GRAND RAPIDS, MI — As hundreds of people gathered in downtown Grand Rapids Wednesday to protest the death of George Floyd, those in attendance said their message was clear: police brutality must stop.
“We want to be treated just as any other race would be,” said Anthony Jacobs, a 21-year-old Grand Valley State University student who is black. “A badge shouldn’t put you above the law.”
