In US news and current events today, two Buffalo Police Officers have been suspended without pay after shoving a 75-year-old man to the ground, leaving him motionless and bleeding from his ear. More disturbing, this clear-cut example of police violence and police brutality was met with a response from the Buffalo police stating that the man tripped and fell, a story that is clearly at odds with the video.
57 officers have resigned in protest of the suspensions, claiming that this example of Buffalo police brutality were merely two Buffalo police officers following orders, a defense that has not met with much success historically. As the Black Lives Matter protests and George Floyd protests continue to shine a spotlight on police brutality, we can’t overlook that even elderly white people can become a target for police violence.

that push is a violent conduct in football where physical conduct is expected however these idiots get away with everything -they're not afraid to act as though there is no law. That's why 'qualified immunity' for these thugs has to come to an end.
Can’t wait to see the faces on all of you when you finally find out what this country is like without police officers.
I dunno, looks like a flop to me
This has now been proven fake — old man had a device and a blood packet —
Seen more convincing flops in soccer.
Why is that weak old man there in the first place obstructing their path?
That unfortunate the one cop was fired.
Hey, turns out. This guy was outed as a KNOWN antifa agitator who constantly brags on his blog about how much he harasses police and gets away with it. Aaaannnnnnnd Trump was right again.
Interesting how most 'news" outlets covering this are turning off their comments. Convenient.
The old activist was barely shoved and likely allowed himself to fall and get injured for his cause. It's not unheard of for activists, in their fanaticism, to self-mudilate and even set themselves on fire as an act of protest. But maybe he was just very uncoordinated and should stay away from agitated forces amidst a riot.
His head busted
Really? Everyone is just going to deny the federal crime this "protestor" was in the act of scanning the police comms for their radio frequency. This is a tactic used by Antifa activists to stay ahead of the cops movements. Just watch what he is doing in the beginning of the video. Open your eyes. The cops were defending the law by pushing him away.
What a joke. It was a light push. Not an aggressive push. Looked to me like the old bloke deliberately stumbled back to make it look bad but in the process tripped himself over. Obviously he did not expect to hit his head the way he did. What is a police officer supposed to do when a protester comes up to you invades your personal space and places his hand right near your security belt. If that happened to me on the street, I would push him back also ( as would most people including those who are criticising the police).
I feel bad for the 75 year old man, WTF!?! cops get arrested your self😬😠😬😠
They barely touched him. He threw himself down.
He knew what he was doing.
Using his age.
Honestly I don’t hate the police but we don’t need em
Police was born to help people, now they kill them, treat them like trash tho. 😶
Eventually, it's going to be the other way around and people aren't going to care because of incidents like this and worse. Thanks for protecting the public you jackasses.
What happened was inexcusable, but just out of curiosity, what was the protester doing with the device (cell phone?) in his right hand?
If your too scared to do the job. Your comments on how it is done are null and void. Put your money where your mouth is. Go be a cop. Then you can tell us what it's like.
Funny no one wants to know why he ran his phone over both cops like a skimmer would to try and get info off your phone or credit cards. 75 and using a new I phone. Pretty tech capable for a old man huh? Maybe he didn't here the call to disperse due to age.
Looks more like an accident, not that the police man planned to make this happen. It's also clear, that he was treated quickly. It's absolute normal, that they let those guys handle the indjured man who know best about it, while the rest continues with their job.
Yes, shouldn't have happened, but to make it such a big case and sell it as cold police brutality is just abusing it. If you know actual cases of police brutality, this must feel like a joke.
People hurt each day by accident, quite some even deadly. That push was a quite soft "back off", the fall and everthing following nothing planned.
I hate the cops, and certainly weren’t rushing in to help him. But they barely touched him, that’s not much of a shove. That wouldn’t move most people more than a back step
Thats Fake!
🤮
Commies at it again .
I’m sorry but something just seems “off” with this. The cell phone. He was barely pushed. The pool of blood was almost instantaneous and bleeding from the ear does not match what his injuries are. NPR just happens to be there? Call me crazy…..
This frail trouble maker should have stayed at home.
God bless our brave men and women in law enforcement.
If you wanna be out there behaving stupid in front of the cops, you deserve what you get
Somebody pushes you over you don't usually take three more steps before losing balance…totally bogus.
This was a setup. I am far from a racist so do not even go there. But pause this video at 1:05 and 1:06 and blow it up. Look at the side of the man's face and you see a tube coming out of the mask, under the string that holds the mask on, going to his ear. That was fake blood folks.
Stop and think logically for a moment. If somebody were to hit their head, so hard that that much blood was pouring from your ear, you would be dead. That means that there was some sort of hemorrhage in your brain.
And before anybody just automatically dismisses this, seriously, go to those times and pause the video and then blow it up and look at the side of his face. He has a tube coming from under his mask going to his ear.
And you can see it quite clearly.
I don't condone violence, but tbh I can see why they pushed him – maybe don't attempt to scan police equipment next time.. Look CLOSER
I don't know. I know enough to not walk up to heavily armed cops and start extending my arms towards their weapons in rapid fashion. I feel like he was setting them up for failure.
I genuinely felt sick like in my stomach as the two that pushed him not only walked past but the rest of them continued to do so. Sick. Absoluykey disgusting
It doesn't take much to shove a skinny old man down to the ground I guess but I don't think that is what this cop intended to do. Looked like a light push.
