Hundreds of Elephants Have Suddenly Died in Africa—Stumping Experts

BOTSWANA — Hundreds of elements are mysteriously dying in Africa near Seronga, Botswana, and scientists have been unable to figure out what’s killing them.

The Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources Conservation and Tourism said in a statement on Facebook on July 2 that 275 elephant carcasses have been verified, though reports state that 356 deceased animals were reported.

Officials said multiple labs are working to process samples from the dead elephants:
