Im pleased to see the dislike ratio is much bigger then like. There are no "two histories". Yes, this country was built mostly by white people, because most settlers came from Europe, that should be something we can all accept. No, slavery was not mostly done by white people. Britain was the first country in the world to abolish slavery. America wasnt very far behind. It was legal in Africa for half a century after it was abolished here, and there was far more slavery in Africa and the Middle East then ever in Europe or America.
2) Students that are violent enough to need police to control them should have police to control them. Violent people are dangerous, and we should care about victims more then criminals, and not worry about the race of the criminals. Being black doesnt give anyone the right to prey on others, just like being white doesnt give people that right. The most important thing that can help students is the nuclear family. Councilors cant.
Also; Ever since our curriculum has started to reflect these new activist themes, real learning has completely gone by the wayside. American students are now showing test scores and reading levels far below some developing nations.
