On May 26, the Minneapolis Police Department fired Derek Chauvin, the white American policeman who, alongside three officers, was involved in the killing of George Floyd the previous day.
Chauvin was arrested four days after the hideous incident and charged with third degree murder and second degree manslaughter. The three other officers were charged with aiding and abetting second degree murder.
