TRENTON – A Burlington County man has admitted he took part in a riot here that followed a peaceful protest over police brutality in May 2020.
Killian F. Melecio, 20, of Columbus acknowledged he tried to set fire to a Trenton police car during the disturbance, said the U.S. Attorney’s Office for New Jersey.
Melecio was accused of accepting a shirt from another rioter and attempting to stuff it into the police car’s gas tank and ignite it, the federal prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
