LA City Council sends new ‘reimagine safety’ plan back to Garcetti; original plan was vetoed

Two months ago, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti vetoed an $88 million spending plan approved by the Los Angeles City Council aimed at re-directing funding initially proposed for the police department budget into other uses in the community. The mayor said that it fell short and needed to be tweaked.
