PEORIA (WEEK) — Health officials have said concerns about the COVID-19 vaccine in Peoria’s black community have remained high. Thursday afternoon local advocates came together to dispel the myths.

Methodist College hosted a panel to diminish the concerns of receiving a COVID-19 vaccine for African Americans.

Panelists said it begins with education, spreading the correct information to the community about the vaccine.
