The Mill Valley Arts Commission is developing concepts for a public mural aimed at displaying solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement.
The council has asked the commission to consider possible locations, artists and a budget, said Nancy Elkus, commission chairwoman. Elkus said the group is reaching out to Black artists in the Bay Area to paint the mural. She said the commission will take its time to get it right.
