  1. I can so relate, as I'm an artist, too! The solitude, the creative womb you enter into willingly to bring forth artistic life is a deep well. This young man's work is so intriguing… I love ho he said he always struggled with proportion, and in the end, decided to embrace it, and now, it's his identifier, the thing that makes his work stand out…his style, his mark. Boy, is there a lesson in that for everyone, to embrace all that you are, and those very things that you struggle with – and maybe don't even like – are your greatest treasure, just seeking to be recognized! My mom lives in Dover, DE… I wonder where Alim Smith shows his work. I'd love to see it live!
