MUNCIE, Ind. — A Muncie woman faces a criminal charge over allegations she made up an account of being abused by city police while being arrested for drunken driving.
The claims made by 42-year-old Andrea R. Hughes came in early June, four months after she had been arrested outside a local Taco Bell, and about a week after George Floyd was killed while in the custody of police in Minneapolis, Minn.
