Whoever posted this album may God bless you! I have been looking for it for more than four decades. In fact it takes me way back to childhood in the sixties. Life is a mystery. How time flies! It evokes strong and wistful memories. I love Congo music and consider it the best in Africa.
I had an opportunity to attend a fellowship with other African nationalities and while we were in a cab to the airport some Zaire music played on the radio, we all didn't understand the words but sure we jammed to that. We are a beautiful people I tell you, loved every bit of it. Thanx AfyaBora
As for me, Congo music is the best in the, world!

I was very young when we used to listen to these on a very small radio which was very difficult to fine tune a station. The sound will come clear and loud like waves loud and faint
When did Mabutu change Congo to Zaire?
One of the tunes in this music was done during the early Zambia independence celebrations 64, 65 etc Very cool music never thought it was Congolese music.
During the time of this music was about 11 years very ignorant about the world, but surely heard this music in our philips radio when tuned to the voix du Zairoux.
The world is flat
What a life and how time flies. Good times when peace reigned and brothers were brothers keep ers. I remember pankshin town in plateau state Nigeria in the early 70s when my elder brother was sbteacher and could afford this.

Now what should someone comment about such brilliance. Maximum respect. Full respect for these geniuses from Congo. Lovely.
Most of the songs on this album are new to me and I thank you guys for this special contribution.
I love congo music , till today we still have old plates from congo which my grandfather brought from war
The musicians too. I was in Kinshasa four years ago, in November 2013 when Tabuley Seigneur Rochereau himself passed away, after a long illness
This music takes me back almost 50 years ago, when I was growing up in a remote village of Southeast Cameroon. So many relatives and acquaintances have passed away since then…..
It took me years to dig up this music (mama eliza) – my boyhood song – what a beautiful day it was. The pak is chuck-full of other great songs from that ERA. Feels like a kid in a massive candy store. Thanks to the Internet… and music from the Congo!
Aon Aon here for completists – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=05cru7p9VYI Thanks Chubb!!
