GREENSBORO, N.C. – A North Carolina student’s message in a bottle traveled nearly 4,000 miles before a fisherman spotted it.
The girl’s “letter was found intact” on a beach in Morocco more than a year after it was sent into the Atlantic Ocean, Greensboro Day School said last week in a news release.
The fisherman who stumbled upon the seafaring message had his nephew translate it, and his family reached out to the North Carolina school, officials say.
