ASHLAND — As the heat drained from the day Tuesday evening, more than 150 people knelt on the soccer fields at Brookside West Park for eight minutes and 46 seconds approximately the amount of time a Minneapolis police officer knelt on George Floyd’s neck before he died.

Some raised their fists in the air. Others bowed their heads. Later, an Ashland University religion professor and two of his students led the demonstrators through the chorus of “Lean on Me” by Bill Withers…
