Report: Union unlikely to place names of police brutality victims on jerseys

The NBA and National Basketball Players Association are unlikely to approve a plan that will allow players to place the names of police brutality victims on their jerseys when the 2019-20 season resumes at Walt Disney World in Orlando, sources told Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes.

Those within the union are reportedly concerned about “respecting the family’s right to pick the player they would want honoring the name” and causing any “unnecessary pain” by leaving out other victims of police…
