Brief footage of the coffin of the South African civil rights activist, Steven Biko, lying on a wooden cart pulled by oxen after he died while in detention in Pretoria.

Biko was a driving force behind the creation of the South African Students’ Organisation (SASO) in 1968 as well as the founding the Black People’s Convention (BPC) in 1972.
