The sad story of humanity is you have the rulers, and you have those who are ruled over. Black people either are being ruled over, or they are rulers and those around them.
Another slightly longer version of this interview, that includes what the narrator says is Biko's definition of Black Consciousness can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5tMA3bkXmA&list=WL&index=6 Not sure why this version doesn't include it, but the missing part also includes Biko's critique of the term "minority'" as he make a case for ""egalitarian" society in which all are equal under the law. This is quite notable since, at least in this excerpt, he does not make the case for "majority" rule in his own country where indigenous people–the Bantu, Zulu, Xhosa, and others–have finally come to take ownership of this latter claim in today's South Africa. .
AZANIA….I'm crying seeing the youth of today being scared than the Old for the Future indeed they succeed in segregation now we say I'M ZULU , I'm Xhosa n we forgot the main enemy… REST IN PEACE MAY YOUR SPIRIT BE CARRIED IN ME….REST EASY BROTHER YOU'LL ALWAYS BE remembered

This interview was captured just a few days before he was brutally murdered. This interview in particular really shook the nationalist government. They successfully washed away all the eloquent, articulate and open minded leaders. They then sold us democracy, which embodies the values of the republicans.South Africa is NOT Azania, through Bantu's Authorities Act of the 1950s, the Nationalists successfully segregated The Bantu people, tell me why is there a country within a country [ South Africa – Swaziland], The South Western Africa is now called Namibia and the rest of the countries in Africa are all independent. I often wonder what made Nelson Mandela chose democracy over communism when he was a communist for 30 years
“…The black man has got no ill intentions for the white man. The black man is only incensed at the white man to the extent that he (the white man) wants to entrench himself in a position of power to exploit the black man. But beyond that nothing more, and we don’t need any artificial majorities, any artificial laws to entrench ourselves in power because we believe once we come into power, our sheer numbers will maintain up there. So we do not have the same fear that the minority white government has been having all along which has led to his many laws, which is why they keep them there…”
who is here in 2018… I mean Biko's predictions about wealth distribution are more than 1000% correct.. this man is my president in the form of ideology, princepal and conciousness. This is not the Biko the media feeds us
40 years ago yesterday, Steve Biko was tortured and killed by the racist apartheid regime of South Africa in 1977. Police room 619 in Port Elizabeth was the site of most of the torture. My understanding is that he died in a police transport vehicle on the way to the 'Black' hospital – hundreds of miles away from where he'd been tortured. AMANDLA !!!! ALWETHU !!! STEVEN BANTU BIKO FOREVER !!!!!!!
Rest in power Biko, please tell Sobukwe that Afrika has not change black leaders are enslaving poor black people and do not forget to tell Thomas Sankara that one day we will fulfill his teaching and we will reject the aid from Europe as he said ''he who feeds you, controls you''.Tell Amilca Cabral that we won the election but our leaders are staying in suburb with white people and they turn a blind eye to our problems we as black poor people as Cabral said ,you can not understand the problems of people if you do not stay with them and please tell Chris Hani that education is commodity in South Afrika our black government is selling education to us poor black student they forgot what you fought for.
