I am a full-blooded white Scotch-Irish-American born in the 1990's….and when I learned about the horrors that the African people experienced, I couldn't believe my ears. It was SO different from what I was taught in early 2000's American schools; the most we were taught from Africa was Mansa Musa's rule over Timbuktu. The rest of our history lessons came from the Egyptian, Greek, and Roman empires up until European Imperialism leading up to the American Revolution and the false teachings of "freedom" we got through the Civil War, and apparently the slaves were freed and everyone lived happily ever after when the Civil Rights Movement happened, right? NO! America is drowning in its own RACISM and NOBODY CAN DENY IT!!! Something has to be done to retain our reputation as the greatest country on earth, as Steve once proclaimed us!

Well the truth of the matter is, that everybody can't be from Ghana! And there are expats and expats. There are African-Americans, and African African-Americans and we really don't know ''who'' is being welcomed home. I want to talk about this. I'm a 77 year old tv/radio host in America. When Arakana Chiahomboro-Quao said, "the year of return," we 'really' had no idea what was what. We thought those of us who were descendants of slaves snatched out of Africa were being welcomed back. But it seemed that this idea was inaccurate. So we need to find out what is what. There is confusion over exactly '''WHOM" is being invited back! '
I could go into the whys and wherefores of being African-American but I'll just say that I'M NOT AFRICAN AMERICAN. I'm not even American by U.S. standards. Our government saw to that 400 years. Then let their people run amuck on our asses until they finally were prosecuted. I'm ''in'' America, But I'm not ''of'' America. My heart is not with this country they had their many chances!

Well, good for Steve who has the luxury to move between 2 continents. Many people cannot do that…financially or otherwise. There's many obstacles that native blacks have had to overcome and will continue to do so. I can't throw the baby out with the bath water. There are still many good things about this nation despite the racism we have to contend with. I would love to live in several places around the world, but cannot afford to. In any case, America is my home and all the best to those who choose to relocate. I wish them well.

Even when we come together in groups here in America 🇺🇸 we don't seem to like eachother. Despite the fact that we have some racist people here, we are still mostly in danger with our own people. Mostly likely to have someone that looks like us to take our life.

What Steve Harvey is saying is fully not true. It might be true for Ghana and a few other African countries, but not ALL of Africa. Africa is not a country, it is a continent with 54 countries. Not all African countries are like Ghana. Many Africans view Black Americans as sellouts. Different from them.
Most of Africa is still very much colonized. Africans do not control the continent, European colonizers do … and the United States … and now China is in the exploitation game.
Steve comments that Africa is rich in resources. Africa used to be richer in resources but European colonizers and invaders are still deeply imbedded on the continent and have raped the continent of its valuable resources and continue to do so this very day.
The African people are still largely poor because of colonzation and exploitation.
You see, Steve has money. He has notoriety. And, money talks, opens doors, and expedites things in many African countries especially the very poor ones.
I have seen Africans treat White foreigners better than their own people. Why? Because they were White and had money. And money is power.
Until you have visited and even lived the many African countries and see first hand for yourself what it is REALLY like, one will quickly conclude it is not as Steve and other would like to romanticize it to be.
The White man is in the land and he is not leaving. He is there to buy, corrupt, and control African leadership, control the resources, and ensure the African people remain largely poor and wanting.
Moreover, to ensure Africa – as a continent – NEVER unites and rise to an economic world power.
Until the White invaders/colonizers are removed from Africa; and Africa is uncolonized; and all vestiages of colonization are removed (i.e. Christianity, etc many Africans fear the White god and Jesus); and the ancestral African culture and true histories are resurfaced … Africa will continue to be what it is now: The White mans cash cow.
It is not as Black and White as Steve makes it to be. (no pun intended)
I shake my head at this video because it does not paint a truthful picture of the continent and what has been happening there for generations.

Blacks are treated with contempt wherever they go and that is something no human government can completely erase, because right from infancy parents and the Society has engraved this type of feelings towards blacks in the heart of their young ones. So it’s almost impossible to root out completely.
