Know your history and please stop misinfoirming your viewers. Benin Kingdom in Nigeria is different from Republic of Bénin, the country.
All the artifacts in this video are from Benin Kingdom, in Nigeria 🇳🇬. and not from the country Republic of Benin. All the videos shown, are that of video files of Benin Bronzes and artifacts stolen during 1897 war between The Great Benin Empire in present day Nigeria and the British. Those shots are from the exhibition that took place in Benin City, Nigeria. Except for the last two frames which are from Benin Republic.
This narrator is talking about Republic of Benin (a neighbouring country to Nigeria) and displaying stolen artefacts recently returned to Benin kingdom in Nigeria. Pls get the story right as these are two different places. Thanks.

There is a disconnect – there is Benin City Nigeria, and Benin the country. What you showed in video is associated with Benin City, and a lot of the press around return has been about the Benin City bronzes.

There is a slight error in this report. There is a difference between the Republic of Benin, a country in west Africa & the Kingdom of Benin, located in South South Nigeria. The Artifacts depicted in this video, are the same artifacts, stolen in 1897, by the British punitive expedition and cannot be the same with those from Republic of Benin…the video also shows Benin Kingdom chiefs, not associated with the country. Just want to put the record straight.

The question I always ask myself is are those original artifacts, why return some and not all. And are the artifacts they are returning of the same value as the ones they are still keeping?

I went to the Benin art expo 2 days ago, and I have to say that it was quite a surreal experience. Although France did not return ALL of the stolen artifacts, president Patrice Talon did say that he wanted a peice of Benin's history to remain outside of Benin for future generations, and wasn't going to pursue action in claiming everything.
The artifacts is for the kingdom of Benin, is a state in Nigeria 🇳🇬 Edo state. Not Benin Republic
The colonizers need to return all of the stolen artifacts back.Africans are tapping into that knowledge that once made ancient African civilizations more advanced than non Africans.
