  1. My sister couldn't even attend my moms funeral due to covid lockdown because she lives in Australia, i think that broke her heart. She also last saw my mom in 2018 because of the distance. I think it must be heartbreaking for anybody that lives in different countries. Good luck ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

  2. I am also having these feelings, I haven't seen my family since Christmas 2019, and that was only 11 days in SA. Really missing them, but if I leave here I may not be able to come back because of Visa things and Covid 19, and I also don't want to leave my life here either. So I totally understand what you are going through, we'll just keep praying that we get to see them soon again. Lots of love from Vietnam <3

  3. I went through exactly what you're going through. Almost 12 years ago my husband , 2 little kids and I moved from South Africa to New Zealand. I've only ever been back once, my kids have not been back yet. You have big questions and you certainly dont need to have them all answered in one go๐Ÿ˜Š. As you put one foot in front of the other, you'll look back every now and then and iether have a peace or not have a peace about your decision. For me, I often weighed up the ratio of loving my new country and missing the old and i often found that the scale was completely tip in my new country's favor. That was the peace. You dont choose one family over the other, right now the season you're in looks like you've chosen your husbands family over your own but the truth is, your in laws and your own family are all one family too. It's 2 families joined to become one. You're part of one family not 2๐Ÿ˜Š Perhaps oneday you'll move back to Australia, who knows๐Ÿ˜Š I'd encourage you to grow where you're planted right now. God has you in SA right now for this season for a purpose. Ask Him to show you why, then flourish where you are. I hope that helps. Things change and they change quickly, you'll probably see your mum alot sooner than you realise๐Ÿ˜Š You're doing such a great job being you๐Ÿงก๐Ÿค— Also wanted to know how your afrikaans is getting on and if Ava has picked it up yet. Sadly my kids don't speak Afrikaans๐Ÿ˜€ Perhaps do a little afrikaans chat for us. That'll be fun๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿงก

  4. No words for how much Iโ€™ve been missing you guys. I so badly would love to be there to support you, getting to know little Eli, and to have fun with you all. Sending so much love and a huge hug ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•
