VI Events Hosted & Organized by Per Ankh Khamniversity Institute and Per Ankh, Inc. In concert with annual VI Emancipation celebrations and commemorations held on July 3rd. Special mention was shared with this year of celebrating and commemorating the UN-declared IYPAD (International Year for People of African Descent).
These VI Emancipation Day annual commemorative activities shared conceptual observances this year to IYPAD, Decade for Organizing the African Diaspora (DOAD), and related commemorative celebrations. These activities are part of the annual VI Emancipation Day historic commemorative celebrations hosted throughout the Virgin Islands.

These activities and events are of a purely charitable, cultural and educational nature in alignment with customary and annual VI Emancipation Day commemorative activities shared on St. Croix, St. John and St. Thomas on July 3rd in honor of the sacrifices, quests, liberation and unification initiatives of our ancestors for freedom and a greater humanity! Pan AfRaKanism LIVES!

These videos and photos are a glimpse of commemorative events and observances in honor and respect to VI Emancipation Day, the Decade of Organizing the African Diaspora (DOAD), UN-declared IYPAD and other Pan AfRaKan commemorative and educational events and initiatives.

Special thanks to Baba Tyehimba Mtu for sharing master drumming and master drum carving techniques, skills and performances at these multiple events and outreach activities! These Virgin Islands wide VIED events and supportive mention of the UN’s IYPAD declaration for 2011- were hosted, organized, sponsored and/or participated in collaboratively throughout the Virgin Islands by Per Ankh, Sankofa Saturdays, KWANZAA365, Pan African Support Group, Environmental Rangers/Camp Umoja, Voices of Love, Sandcastle on the Beach, VIDE Cultural Education, Ngoma Ku Sema, St. Croix Drum Circle, Dembaya Drummers, Junie Bomba Allick, VI Department of Tourism, VI Council on the Arts/National Endowment of the Arts, VI Cultural Heritage Institute, Sankofa Study Group, St. George Botanical Gardens, St. John School of the Arts, Elder Eddie Bruce, Wachunga Drummers, Queens of the Earth, We Grow Food/Bordeaux Farmers, Roarlty Enterprises, Elder Mr. Petersen, St. Croix Landmarks Society & the VI Community Supporters of these events that happened during St. John’s Festival Activities!

May we ankhtinue to share our events, activities and initiatives for unity, liberation and social ascension throughout the balance of this International Year for People of African Descent!
