London police are exploring whether a man gunned down during a home invasion is a former Liberian rebel leader accused of war crimes in the West African country.

Bill Horace, 44, was fatally shot after four men forced their way into a home at 232 Pochard Lane, south of Clarke and Gore roads, around 4:40 a.m. on Sunday, police said.
