I hate how some people constantly use the whole "George Floyd was no saint" argument as a reason to not support black lives matter. The fact that he did bad things doesn't mean he deserved to be intentionally murdered by the people who are supposed to serve and protect, while he yelled for nine minutes that he couldn't breathe. No one is a saint. Yes, there are bad people in the world, but that doesn't change the fact that there is racism in the system. It doesn't change the fact that someone's skin colour, despite having no bearing over their actual character, still makes a huge difference in how likely they are to be a target of police brutality. It doesn't change the fact that what was done to Floyd, and so many others, was still WRONG.
