I have been watching this brothers journey via YouTube for several years and his evolution is nothing short of inspirational. Zayloc keep doing what you're doing young King. You are appreciated.
Just to give you a bit of insight into Jamaicas history and how closely connected we are to the motherland and specifically Ghana. Many of us Jamaicans have traced our lineage back to the Gold Coast. In fact 80-90% of the Black African people of the island today has genetics that links us directly back to Ghana and the Akan-Asante tribe. Patois is made up of 60% English and 40% Akan Twi and as I like to say it is broken African lol. I know from your blog's of Jamaica you spent a lot of time indulging in the Rastafarian culture however there are many more elements of Africaness to discover there. Slavery and colonialism could not destroy our connection to Africa. It is seen in our food, it is heard in our dialect, our spiritual and ritual practises such as myal, kumina, pocomina, nine night, …it is in our music, dance and mannerisms. and the adinkra symbols seen throughout the island on our homes and businesses. Ghana is our motherland.
Thank you for sharing!
