South Africa’s foreign Minister Ronald Lamola has told DW that it is obvious the United State is trying to bully the country, after US president Donald Trump issued an executive order cutting aid to the African state.
The Trump administration cut aid to South Africa amid controversy over a new policy that would allow the government to seize land for use in public projects. The administration also extended refugee status to the Afrikaner group – a white minority grouping. Lamola said he believed racism was behind the move.
