South Africa’s ambassador to South Sudan is calling on leaders of the North East African country’s warring factions to hold talks, as fears of a civil war grow.
The call comes as clashes between armed civilians affiliated to Vice President Riek Machar known as “the White Army” and government backed troops continue threatening to derail implementation of a 2018 peace deal.
