* An inquest into the death of renowned anti-apartheid activist Chief Albert Luthuli continues at the High Court in Pietermaritzburg today.

* The kidnapping and human trafficking case of Joshlin Smith continues today with the sitting of the Cape High Court at Saldanha on the Cape West Coast. The trial within a trial centres around the admissibility of the confession statements of two of the accused.

* At least 51 people who were killed by gunmen in Nigeria’s northern Plateau state have been buried in a mass grave.
Residents said the bodies had been recovered in the Zikke and Kimakpa villages in Plateau’s Bassa district.
