MORGANTOWN, W.Va – West Virginia University has issued a community notice following reports of a black bear near the downtown campus.
The notice was issued on Monday after at least one bear was reported near the PRT’s Maintenance Facility on 8th Street.
Officers responded to the area. However, they were unable to locate the bear.
A video surveillance image of the bear is being circulated.
Residents are asked to call 911 if the bear is seen.
