Black people have been celebrating Juneteenth for generations. Celebrations typically include church services, speeches, educational events, family gatherings and picnics, and festivals with food and music. Juneteenth eventually became a federal holiday in 2021, but there are some concerns this year. The Trump Administration banned diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in the federal government.
