Line-Ups & Legacy Event Centers Black Fatherhood, Health, and Community Stories
2nd Chance Outreach presents Line-Ups & Legacy on June 29 at North Central University—an original stage production and resource fair that honors Black fatherhood, health, and generational legacy. The event features live skits, community awards, and health resources for the whole family.

On Saturday, June 29, 2nd Chance Outreach will present Line-Ups & Legacy, a powerful stage event and community resource fair at North Central University, located at 1400 Elliot Ave.
The event begins with a resource fair at 3 p.m., followed by the stage performance and awards at 4 p.m.

Set against the backdrop of the Black barbershop, Line-Ups & Legacy is a community-centered production that celebrates stories of fatherhood, health, manhood, and generational legacy.
It highlights the voices of Black men and boys navigating life and medical hesitancy through honest dialogue, humor, and reflection.
The event includes a live skit performance written and performed by local talent, a Fatherhood Legacy Award Ceremony, and a tribute segment titled “Give Honor To Our Fathers,” recognizing the vital role of father figures and mentors in the community.
The accompanying resource fair will connect attendees with local health and wellness organizations, providing information, screenings, and services.

Door prizes and family-friendly activities are also part of the event, emphasizing its broad appeal across generations.
Organizers say the goal is to uplift and affirm Black men while opening space for conversation about physical and mental health—topics often overlooked until a crisis occurs. “We sacrifice our health to gain wealth, only to spend our wealth trying to regain our health,” one event message states, framing the event’s mission to break that cycle.
Line-Ups & Legacy is open to the public. Tickets are available online at tix.com/ticket-sales/Fathers/5473/event/1429311.
