As a Kenyan citizen, I – and millions of others – strongly reject the illusion of the so-called “leaderless, formless, structureless, and partyless” revolution. Let’s call it what it really is: political recklessness masquerading as activism. This isn’t legitimate politics – it’s lawlessness, plain and simple.
The belief that a national revolution can be achieved through spontaneous, disorganized street protests is not just misguided – it’s dangerous and delusional.
Sadly, the loudest proponents of maandamano culture, backed by a complicit media, have created an environment where honest, critical voices are shut down or ridiculed.
But make no mistake: millions of Kenyans – young and old – have absolutely no appetite for this kind of chaotic, unproductive politics. Maandamanoism is not the future. It’s a dead-end. Without structure and a functional movement, these "leaderless" youths are just wasting their own time, and ours.
