As party primaries for municipal elections approach, the Beta Nu Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and the Charlotte Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority will hold a series of nonpartisan candidates forums.

Party primaries are scheduled for Tuesday, September 9, with the first day of early voting on August 21. Mail-in ballots (when requested) will be sent out starting Friday, August 8, and must be received by the Mecklenburg County Board of Elections by Tuesday, September 9, at 7:30 p.m.

The candidates forums will allow voters to hear from candidates running for mayor, city council districts 1, 3, 4, 5, and at-large seats. The series will include in-person and virtual forums.
