African Judges Praise Captain Ibrahim Traoré for Defending Law Amid Crisis



On July 31st in Ouagadougou, President Captain Ibrahim Traoré welcomed a distinguished group of constitutional court leaders from across Africa. Delegates from countries including Mali, Senegal, Niger, Togo, Côte d’Ivoire, Madagascar, and Burkina Faso gathered to mark the 25th anniversary of Burkina Faso’s Constitutional Council.

The legal experts commended President Traoré for his firm commitment to upholding the rule of law despite ongoing security challenges in the Sahel. Mali’s Constitutional Court President, speaking for the group, emphasized that even in times of crisis, Burkina Faso has remained within the framework of legal and constitutional order.

President Traoré used the opportunity to reaffirm his vision of sovereign leadership rooted in justice, unity, and institutional strength. His message resonated with many across the continent, especially in the face of rising instability in West Africa.
