The Black Sheep to open Aug. 12 in former Two Chefs spot in downtown Greenville

Five months after it was announced, The Black Sheep is set to open Aug. 12.

The Mediterranean restaurant is opening in the former Two Chefs spot at the corner of North Main Street and Stone Avenue in downtown Greenville. It is led by former Jianna executive chef Danielle Grigorian.

“The Black Sheep is more than just a restaurant, it’s a reflection of my family’s culture, my passion for food, and my love for design. I am excited to share it with the Greenville community,” Grigorian said in a released statement.

The restaurant takes a comprehensive approach to Mediterranean cuisine by presenting four cultures each season. This season, it offers diners a taste of Syrian, Turkish, Lebanese and Armenian fare. The menu resembles a wine list, noting the inspiration or origin for each dish.

The restaurant also reflects Grigorian’s artistic prowess. Having once been an interior designer, she personally designed the space using darker tones of charcoal, pinks and purples.

The Black Sheep is located at 644 N. Main St. It will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Sundays for brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
