US-SA Report | DIRCO slams US Human Rights Report on SA as ‘inaccurate and flawed’

The Department of International Relations has rejected as inaccurate and deeply flawed a US State Department Human Rights Country report on South Africa.
The State Department earlier released its annual country reports on Human Rights Practices, including on South Africa where it alleged that the human rights situation significantly worsened during the year, citing reports of arbitrary and unlawful killings, arbitrary arrest or detention and the repression of racial minorities.
In a lengthy statement released by DIRCO spokesperson Chrispin Phiri, the Ministry registered its profound disappointment with the US report and pointed to what it viewed as human rights deficiencies in the United States in a sharp repudiation.
Sherwin Bryce-Pease reports from New York that this development could add an additional layer of tension to an already strained bilateral relationship.

  1. ANC came to power through violence, destruction and brutality.

It never stopped, it redirected into political killings, extermination of certain minorities, gross corruption, destruction of institutions,…

  2. At least SA does not kill children and call them human shields. Why would anyone use a child as a human shield?.. Obviously cause any human being wont shoot!!! but not the AIPAC guys who give human rights reports on everyone else other than themselves. This regime change effort by AfriForum and AIPAC will not succeed we are a free country our government is made in the polls.

  3. 80 murders a day. Largest rape statistics in the world. Theft of hospital, infrastructure, pension funds, is a human rights abuse. The national dialog cost could remove all pit toilets in South Africa. Its a human right abuse.
