FRENCH CAMP — Soft bleats from goats and student chatter filled the air as dozens of University of the Pacific and BUFA (Black Urban Farmers Association) volunteers and workers braved this week’s heat wave for this year’s Day of Service.
Teams of students harvested carrots and beets, laid down cardboard and mulch, and painted picnic tables yellow.
