ITHACA, N.Y. — The Black Diamond Trail, a destination and journey for the region’s nature lovers, will be temporarily closed in the coming weeks.
The closures, which will start on Sept. 2, will be used to conduct maintenance on the parts of the trail between Perry City Road and Garrett Road in Trumansburg.
Segments of the trail will be closed between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
In the press release, Fred Bonn, regional director of the Finger Lakes State Parks, said during this time visitors should use alternative routes.
According to the release, the work is expected to last multiple weeks.
