Who doesn’t love a visit to grandma and grandpa’s house?
The sentiment rings true across species, apparently. Sully, a nearly 4-year-old black Labrador, has captured the hearts of the Internet after his adorable response to hearing he was going to get to spend some time at his grandparents’ house.
In a video posted to the TikTok account “Sully the Black Lab,” Sully’s owner, Tori, can be heard in the background of the video, telling the dog that she has a “surprise” for him.
“Mom has to go on a work trip,” Sully’s owner says in the video, as the lab’s ears perk up, “which means you’re gonna stay with grandma and grandpa!”
Immediately upon hearing the words “grandma and grandpa,” Sully begins excitedly running toward the door and wagging his tail. Grandma and grandpa are, in fact, Tori’s parents who live nearby.
Sully can barely contain his excitement long enough for his owner to put a collar on him before pawing at the front door to get in the car.
Sully’s owner also asks him what toys he wants to bring for his trip to the grandparents’ house, and he excitedly chooses his poop toy before practically leaping into the trunk of the car.
In the video, Sully rides in the back of the car, looking excitedly out the front windshield.
“Are you excited to go see grandma and grandpa?” Tori asks again as the two drive to the grandparents’ house.
Toward the end of the video, the pair arrives at the grandparents’ house, where “grandpa” is already outside. Immediately upon pulling into the driveway, Sully clocks his grandpa, rushing over to him as soon as he can get out of the trunk.
This isn’t the first time that Sully has gone viral for his adorable relationship with his human grandparents.

The dog now has over 300,00 followers on TikTok and 160,000 on Instagram. In one video from 2023, where Tori surprises Sully with a surprise visit to the grandparents’ house, the sweet black lab has over 20 million views and 2.7 million likes.
“See you next week bud 🥹❤️,” Tori wrote in her caption on the most recent video.
“I was expecting him to feel sad 😂 but noooo he’s more excited like a toddler😍,” one commenter wrote.
“Sometimes it really shocks me how much they really understand,” another remarked. “He is a sweetie.
